The closest towns for shopping are Yverdon-les-Bains, the largest in the region with its 24,000 people, located in the plains about 20 minutes away, and Sainte-Croix, a smaller town in the Jura, about 10 minutes away.
One reaches Mauborget generally through Yverdon-les-Bains. Yverdon is easily accessible:
by car: Yverdon is situated on the major highway going through Spain-France-Switzerland-Germany, and is less than one hour away from Geneva, and two hours away from both the Italian border at the St-Bernard Tunnel and the border with Germany in Basel.
by train: there are trains every hour going to Neuchatel-Bienne/Biel-Basel or Zurich, and Lausanne-Geneva or Sion in the Alps.
